Water Pumps - Citroen D series  water pumps are actually quite reliable. Leakage and bearing failure problem occurs when cars are not used for periods of time or coolant is not kept fresh. The problem is directly related to the metal stationary seal used in both the original pumps and replacement pumps sold. The other major failure occurs with the front shaft bearing and is normally related to having to much tension on the alternator/generator belt. If you have an A/C equipped car you have no choice but to have your original pump rebuilt as 3 pulley after market pumps are not available. 

Pumps are disassembled, bodies cleaned and examined for any structural defects. Reassembled with a special ceramic/phenolic seal that will not corrode or leak. Worn or corroded pump shafts are replaced as well as the use of a new impeller if needed. Bearings used are of a double shielded design that incorporates a higher temperature resistant grease compared to normal sealed bearings. Shipped with new mounting gasket and nylon drip tube.
